An eco-friendly attitude - For the Environment and Sustainable Development.
After earning the “Eco-défis du Parc” label in December 2014, we were delighted to learn that our Campsite had been awarded the “Green Key” label in November 2016!
You will be staying in an establishment that has earned the “Green Key” label for its environmentally friendly approach and the steps it takes to protect nature:
We water our hedges and flowers with a rainwater harvesting system.
Sanitary facilities, water points and rental units are equipped with water-saving appliances.
Our staff are trained in leak detection.
We print as few paper brochures as possible (less paper, less transport).
We encourage e-mail communication.
Vehicle traffic is prohibited in the campsite from 10.30 pm to 8 am.
We ask for your opinions and suggestions in order to improve our environmental approach.
The hot water in the main building is produced using solar power.
All rentals, sanitary facilities and lighting are equipped with low energy bulbs.
Presence detectors with timers have been installed in the sanitary facilities.
We have set up individual meters in certain rental units for precise monitoring of electricity consumption.
The pool is heated by a heat pump to reduce energy consumption.
The cleaning products we use are ecologically certified.
We do not use chemical fertilisers.
Some of the green waste is reused for mulching or compost.
We use natural materials in our structures where possible (wooden exterior cladding).
Our secondary roads and car parks are made of draining material in order to help water penetrate into the soil.
The campsite has a dedicated waste-sorting area with containers for glass, paper, plastics and cans.
We compost all our vegetable waste.
Hazardous waste is sorted and used edible oils are stored separately and collected by specialist recycling companies.
We recycle used batteries, bulbs, etc.
All our employees practise waste-sorting.
So we ask you to please do as much as you can to contribute to our success in this area.
All you need to do is:
- Limit your water consumption,
- Turn off the lights when leaving your rental,
- Avoid using excessive amounts of the toilet paper provided in the sanitary facilities,
- Sort your waste as directed,
- Do not drop litter such as cigarette butts, paper and other rubbish,
- Turn off your engine.
The campsite is also a partner of the L.P.O (Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux - French Bird Protection League) with its bird sanctuary.
