France’s most beautiful villages
Eight of France’s most beautiful villages,rich in heritage and history have made their home in the Dordogne Valley, near Rocamadour.
The Dordogne Valley, on either side of the river, boasts 8 of France’s most beautiful villages:
- Autoire, Carennac, Loubressac, Martel and Rocamadour in the north of the Lot in Occitanie, close to Le VENTOULOU campsite (less than 20 km away!),
- Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, Collonges-la-Rouge and Curemonte in southern Corrèze in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region.
They are located on either side of the banks of the Dordogne, near the Parc Naturel Régional des Causses du Quercy, close to the Gouffre de Padirac and Rocamadour, overlooking the Dordogne Valley. Each one has a surprise in store for you: fresh waterfalls, breathtaking cirques, 360° views, hanging gardens, glowing stones, historic bell towers ….
